Today we are announcing Akouo Systems, Inc., a Delaware corporation that builds software for organizations that keep, search, and replay recorded communications. Our first product is VocaLens, an audio repository that stores recordings and their metadata and gives authorized users fast search and replay from a standard web browser.
Who is behind Akouo Systems
Akouo Systems was founded by three people who share one goal: give organizations a simple way to find the recordings they are required to keep.

Who we are building for
We work with organizations that hold large volumes of call recordings: regulated industries that must retain recorded communications, public safety and emergency communications teams, defense and armed services, and organizations that manage surveillance or other recorded audio. Many of them retrieve recordings occasionally, not all day. They need the archive to be organized, searchable, and under their control.
What VocaLens does
VocaLens does one job well. It keeps your recordings in your environment, on your storage, and lets your people find and replay them when they need to.
- Deploy where you choose. Run VocaLens on-premise or in the cloud, in any Docker-based container environment.
- Store on your terms. Keep audio on local disk, NAS, Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, or other modern storage systems. Keep metadata on local disk, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Search and replay in a browser. Authorized users work from any standard web browser, with no desktop client to install.
Why it saves time
When an archive holds thousands of recordings, finding one call can mean opening file after file. VocaLens stores recordings together with their metadata, so people narrow a large archive to the calls they need with a search, then play them back in the browser. The hours that used to go into manual searching go back to your team.
Why it saves money
Many organizations pay for analytics platforms they use rarely, if at all. VocaLens leaves that out. You get a repository for storing, searching, and replaying recordings, priced for organizations that do not need anything more. Because VocaLens runs on storage and infrastructure you already have, you are not required to move your recordings into someone else's environment. Contact us for pricing.
Why your data stays in your hands
With VocaLens, recordings and metadata live where you decide: in your data center or in your own cloud account. Access goes to authorized users. For organizations that prefer or require on-premise deployment and full control of their data, this is the point of the product.
Bring your existing recordings
VocaLens is designed to hold audio and metadata exported from voice recorders and legacy recording platforms. You can keep the systems that record your calls and bring what you have retained into one repository built for search and replay. It also works as a general-purpose audio repository.
